Taking UNSCR 1325 to the next level: Gender, Peace & Security - Movements, masculinities and mainstreaming

On the occasion of the 13th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325, the Women Peacemakers Program (WPP), the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) and Conciliation Resources organized a public event on gender, peace and security, hosted by the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the UN in New York. The event took place on October 30, 2013.

Besides the transformative elements in UNSCR 1325, the discussion also focussed on movements, masculinities and mainstreaming for the advancement of UNSCR 1325.

This video gives an overview of the highlights of the panel discussion, with key contributions of Karel van Oosterom, Dutch Permanent Representative to the UN, Anne-Marie Goetz of UN Women, Sarah Taylor of the NGO Working Group on Women, Peace & Security, and of representatives of WPP, GPPAC, Conciliation Resources, SAMYAK (India), FemLINKPACIFIC (Fiji) and CIASE (Colombia).
